It seems like the VGL concerts tend to play stuff that's already been orchestrated (although some things like Sonic are new as far as I can tell). But in any event, there are tons of popular songs out there that already have orchestral arrangements. Practially every song from the Dragon Warrior games have been brilliantly orchestrated by Koichi Sugiyama. And the musical genius Yoko Kanno needs some recognition from her games like Nobunaga's Ambition, Uncharted Waters, or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I'd also love to hear music from Pacific Theater of Operations (okay, I'm a Koei game music fan...)

Of course, most of those games aren't very popular outside of Japan. But for God's sake, put Kirby's Superstar in there! The crowd would go wild. Oh yeah, and if you are up for orchestrating something brand new, then I know that everyone would love a little STREET FIGHTER!

Hear, hear for everything.

Especially Kanno Yoko - she is easily one of the best composers in any field at the moment.

Seconded. I've actually used her work to make people do a double-take; have them listen to TANK! and then tell them who composed it. :D

Hey, even though it's not game music, I'd be all for hearing TANK! at a VGL show. Doesn't have to a regular part of the show, I'd just like to hear it one time.

Maybe on the interval playlist?

I'd go for that. It'd be much better than that old tedious Numa Numa crap.
