After just now coming back from the show in Kalamazoo, I absolutely must suggest--no, demand that a show be done in Battle Creek.
While W.K. Auditorium isn't nearly as massive as Miller Auditorium, it's become a real mystical place now. The whole venue had been renovated from the ground up with lots of new features like:
1. More than 2,000 [ redesigned] seats.
2. 21st century audio/visual system (JBL FTW!).
3. Not one but TWO display screens (ooh the possibilities...)
4. An improved mix of contemporary and classic themes in art decor.
5. Built-in pipe organ system (well, that's been around a while, metinks).
Essentially how the auditorium is designed now, EVERY seat is the "best seat(s) in the house"!
I'll do best to tell everyone I know about the experience. The place was next to sold out on both days that Vanessa Williams came and essentially performed the "debut" concert of the redesigned W.K. Kellogg Auditorium 2 years ago.
If you want a full house, check out this venue that takes place in a city that's smack dab in the middle between Chicago and Detroit.
How's this for a sales pitch?
