Immediately after seeing you guys last year I couldn't wait for you to return to NYC. Tonight's show was fantastic, my girlfriend and I absolutely loved it.
Last year I was so disappointed that Mass Effect wasn't featured, but I recall Tommy promising it would be there the next time VGL came to NY. Sure enough, it was!
I was surprised to see how much the show has grown in just a year. The costume contest participation went from 4 people to nearly 30 and the new segments were well done. Can't wait for your return.

Absolutely
Ive been following VGL for a long time now and finally got to experience it live last night and it was phenomenal.
The main tunes i wanted to see were the themes from Metal Gear Solid and Zelda but Halo and the theme from Mega Man blew me away.
I can't wait to see it again! come back soon!
I went for the first time. Really enjoyed it and loved the Mega Man, Zelda (kicked butt on a flute), Castlevania music along with everything else! The candle light vigil with DS and PSPs was awesome! Thanks for a fun evening! :D

It was my first VGL live show and it was good. I'd give it 7/10 in terms of enjoyment.
there doesn't seem to be a 'review' section here so i'll be brief
points detracted for:
- using old, non-original arrangements of mario and zelda
- absence of old school favorites like Earthbound only to get played-to-death material that is overrated (Halo)
- no need for intermission - the orchestra sat doing nothing for long periods while the solo artists where featured.
- I appreciate Tommy, his concerts, his guitar playing and his desire to interact with the audience, but his constant interruptions were frustrating. More songs could have been played during this time to much greater effect.
very big appreciation for:
Absolutely the loudest and most appreciative crowd I have heard in a traditional broadway musical-style theater.
video game pianist!
letting the little mario with the accent win the contest
the first video game recording and the Skype presentation - very respectful
The zelda flute girl
Really decent orchestra with no mistakes made at all
Despite my notable gripes, I will go again next time.

This is the second VGL concert I've attended (first being in Newark) and I have to say each time I go I feel so intensely happy that I'm not sure I can put it into words. Hearing the Chrono arrangement literally made me jump out of my chair and cheer despite my girlfriend being right next to me.
Keep doing what you're doing Tommy it works and its pretty inspirational that you can put something like this together and still get the chance to enjoy yourself by performing.
