I would have posted this yesterday, but I'm very close to my internet allowance line so I had to wait till I got my hands on a school computer.

Okay, here's the question...

What was one of your most memorable close call in a game?

My favorite was when I was playing Mario Kart 64. I was playing in the 150GP and the track was Rainbow Road; I needed to be in first place in order to win the cup. It was the last lap and I was in the lead just a few seconds away from the finish line, but slowly Luigi appeared on one side and DK was on the other; it was neck and neck. The finish line was coming up and we were still dead even and then we crossed it in a photo finish; it was too close for me to call.....BUT I WON! :D

The World's Strongest Robot, a boss battle in Astro Boy: Omega Force. That guy is actually pretty tough. It took several attempts to defeat him. I managed to defeat him with 1% health left. At least the checkpoint is right before you face him. I hate difficult boss battles where you have to play through an entire stage to get to them. Level 3 of Castlevania... *shudder*

Don't know if this really counts, but a while back, me and a friend had a little competition: "Who could kill Night Terror the fastest on Hard mode" in Soul Calibur III.

So far, I'm still in the lead at 12.3 seconds.

Fighting M.Bison with Ryu on Street Fighter Alpha 3's world tour.
There was just one hit in it, and I jumped over his Super Psycho Crusher and hadokened him in the back.

As for me, it was the first time I beat God of War in god mode. Getting through the Kratos' clones in the last boss fight at that difficulty... I tell ya, skills alone aren't good enough, there's luck involved.

Wow, that's a really difficult question to answer!
I've had so many close calls in games, it's hard to pick just one. Racing games are usually good candidates for something like this, like Mario Kart or SW Pod Racer. I've had a bunch of close calls in games like Pokemon Stadium as well, like those times where you don't know who's turn it will be next, and you know that if you can get the attack in first you win but if you miss or if they go first you're doomed. Those battles are always fun :)
