Or does 'Mechat Takes Off' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp8cXuED11Y) from the Blue Dragon OST by Nobuo Uematsu, sound rather like 'The Christmas Song' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khWvxVEhcMQ) (aka 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire') by Nat King Cole? I'm a big fan of both artists and I was slightly surprised by the similarity between the two! Maybe Nobuo has a deep, dark appreciation of the music of Nat King Cole!! :eek:

I wouldn't say dark. Actually, Uemastu's inspired by many american an british artists, like Simon & Garkunkel, The Beatles or Pink Floyd.

Yeah, I knew about Uematsu's influences by 70s and 80s British and American pop/rock stuff, but I wouldn't have necessarily made the link with Nat King Cole ;p

Nevertheless, it would be nice if it were the case ;p
