Happened to stumble upon this podcast (http://www.mouseplanet.com/9225/The_Man_Behind_the_Music_Behind_the_Video_Games) interviewing TT by the people over at MousePlanet, which was a surprise. I wasn't fully sure what Tommy had to do with Disneyland.

I wasn't able to take a listen (way too busy at the moment), but i thought I'd share, especially since this is one interview from a less-usual source.

I didn't even have to listen to the podcast to find out his involvement with disney!

Tommy talked about his respect for the Sherman Brothers and his opportunity to meet them, as well as the work that he did on the game based on The Jungle Book game involved Sherman Brothers, Tommy was at their window ceremony, saw "The Boys", couldn't believe they had a feud, in 1992, the brothers came to studio at Virgin to ask about how he did orchestral themes electronically, was so awesome to have both of them there, signed his Jungle Book album.
Here are links to some of the video games mentioned in the interview:
Aladdin (http://www.giantbomb.com/disneys-aladdin/61-19944/)
Prince of Persia (http://www.giantbomb.com/prince-of-persia/61-2561/)
The Incredibles (http://www.giantbomb.com/the-incredibles/61-759/)
The Jungle Book (http://www.giantbomb.com/walt-disneys-the-jungle-book/61-19067/)
Kingdom Hearts (http://www.giantbomb.com/kingdom-hearts/62-414/)
Color a Dinosaur (http://www.giantbomb.com/color-a-dinosaur/61-5504/)
Epic Mickey (http://www.giantbomb.com/disney-epic-mickey/61-27562/)
Guitar Hero Aerosmith edition (http://www.giantbomb.com/guitar-hero-aerosmith/61-20684/)
The Video Games Live PBS special (http://www.pbs.org/aboutpbs/news/20091218_videogameslivespecial.html)I'm quite intrigued to see if the mention of Epic Mickey is one professing involvement in sound production or something, because that would make a game that already looks fairly awesome, even better!

I'll sit down and listen to the podcast now, and give feedback once I have!

Edit- Okay, so Tommy doesn't have any involvement in Epic Mickey, but apparently he's a massive fan of Disney in general and is a big fan of that website, so was overjoyed to be able to take part in the podcast for them. One of the most interesting things that Tommy mentioned on the podcast was the fact that he sees VGL as a continuation of Walt Disney's work with Fantasia, taking the symphony orchestra and adding to it to make it more accessible to people who may not ordinarily have encountered it! I think the fact that classical and orchestral music was very much accessible to me in my home as a child and through watching Fantasia with my parents definitely had an impact on me and really got me into music as something to be enjoyed and through that love for music in general and my love of video games that led me to Video Games Live.

Its definitely worth listening to, at least the segment in the middle which features Tommy. I think Tommy's love for Disney and his involvement in quite a few Disney related projects definitely brought out some new and interesting information about the guy! If you've got 30-40 minutes free, I'd definitely recommend listening to it!

I'm also working on a few really big Disney projects that have nothing to do with video games! But I can't talk about it right now. By the end of the summer or early fall there should be a big announcement. It's going to be VERY cool!

Not even divine intervention could redeem that evil unleashed upon this earth! XD

I'm sure Mr. Tallarico has better things to do with his talent, than babysit a couple of untalented attention whores.

RetroVortex, although I share you grief towards the path Disney as choosen to take over the last years, we should remain cool headed.

Take a deep breath, take another, and then, without bad words or anger, make subtil joke. Nobody will see you bad and it is more effective. :p

Perhaps it might be... I don't know... Tron related?

I dunno...Daft Punk is doing the movie's soundtrack, after all. However, Tommy could be doing the music for Tron: Evolution, the video game tie-in.

Or maybe Disney plans to have a Tron celebration and Tommy is invited to play the Tron piece there? Or maybe sometime in the future Disney plans to have a Tron ride of some sort and Tommy might work with them to make the sounds/music of such; just thinking out loud.

Haha, now I bet it's something completely not Tron-related. But that would be rather epic.

Maybe Tommy is writing Marvel Vs Capcom 3 musics?

I've got it! Tommy is going to be a summon in KH3! :p

I know that's differentially not it because it's game related, but think about it, he could assist Sora like Stitch, but jamming on his electrical guitar.

I'm actually a bit disturbed by it. A real life person, with Disney characters! Think of the juxtaposition!

(And then I remember the Pirates world....)

Yeah, the Tron world too, sort of. Well that was more like, live action/animated people, and it didn't take place in a realistic looking world like the Pirates level. Space Paranoids in KH2 is more like a cross between live action people and a video game within a video game.

Disney bought Marvel Froggy Big Monkey.

There will definitely be some Tron goodness involved, but I'm not doing the music to the movie (Daft Punk) or the video game.

Again, it's nothing related to video games at all. That's all I can really say at this point. Sorry I can't give more info. But when things are announced I'll make sure to let everyone here know about it for sure. Very exciting stuff.

Hm, now I'm even more curious. But wait, if it's Tron related, then doesn't that by default make it video game related? Oh no, it's a paradox! But yeah, I know what's meant :p
Can't wait to find out!

Tron's a movie, it doesn't emply to be videogame related, as Tommy sayd.

Hehe, I know, but it's a movie about a video/computer game so I'm just being picky :D

So, it's related to Tron, but it isn't the film nor a game. The only sort of guess I can make is a sort of image album. I'm intrigued... I wonder what it could be?

Myrph

Actually, from what I can tell, the thing that's a big secret isn't Tron or video game related, but as a side note Tommy is also doing something Tron related. I could be wrong in that respect though...
