Just came back from this amazing concert! Unlike VGL, play! or Symphonic (insert episode here), Ignition is more about a mix of genres under a motto with young people as the target audience. Today, the motto was "feel east (Japan)" and while Beethoven's "Ode an die Freude" was played including a huge choir, the entire concert also featured the topic of computer games.

What was really cool was the entire atmosphere and visual production. The concert took place at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf (Germany), which is a former planetarium. They accompanied the orchestra with visuals on the screen. Kids had been doing papercraft animations in a workshop before the concert and they've been telling a story about the conductor wandering through all kinds of adventures/levels in a retro game style, with japanese clothing. When he reached the final level on screen (left the level to the right of the screen), the real conductor showed up right besides the screen with exactly the same clothing - jumped on stage and off the concert went.
They started with the Ignition anthem with a feature of today's topic, in this case it was a piece from Tetris. Later in the concert, they had a medley with Zelda and Pikmin and in both cases, they had a table on stage in front of the orchestra where one guy would play the old console titles live (being shown on screen).
What was really cool too: the acoustics are incredible in this hall. The orchestra was playing pure. No aplification, not even monitors.
