Katamari Damacy, Chocobo's and Oblivion!

Saw the show 4/28/08 in NYC and had a great time.
As a mom who plays some games but more often hears the music from my sons' games as they play, I would have loved to hear some of the music from Katamari Damacy and Oblivion.
We were hoping for a bit of Chocobo music during the awesome FF piano medley!

Honestly can't have enough chocobo music! Honestly, its the single recurring theme throughout the entire series of games! surely for that reason alone it deserves some playtime!

Actually, it's not. Chocobos did not exist until FF2.

To my knowledge, the only recurring pieces throughout the series are Prelude, Prologue, and Victory.

I second Katamari. Hearing Katamari on the Swing during intermission made me laugh and wish they'd attempted it.

Actually, I thought they didn't come in until FF3, but I may be wrong... never the less, thats only 2 games out of about 15 ish (couldn't be bothered to count ;p) now that don't have them! Surely that alone warrants a play?

lol, either way.... we need some more FF music, lol. I love the Chocobo theme, so that would be awesome to hear. I was also at the 4/26/08 show in NYC! lol. it kicked ass, but could have used the chocobo theme, and maybe a chocobo just running around, lol, jk

Red and yellow would also be a good choice for an FF9/FFT reference.

A white chocobo would be amusing as well.

Let's see, what are the "legal" colors? Yellow, White, Purp...uh...Black <snicker>, Green, Blue (two different shades), Red, Brown, and Gold.

Hmmm...actually, I'd really like to see the black chocobo with purple tail plumage from the CG movie in the PlayStation FF4. I always thought that was an amusing tribute to the "problem" of SNES black chocobo coloration.

lol, I do like the black and yellow contrast. lol. it would be cool on LI, because black and gold are my friend's high school's colors too. lol. blue and gold would be a cool combo of chocobo.

as for the problems of color and Wark or Kweh the only solution i can see is having them all!

If only this thread wasn't so old, I wouldn't feel so bad reviving it. But I totally think some Katamari music would rock the hell out of everyone. Definitely needs more. :D

Its never too late to revive a music request thread! I must admit the katamari music is quite catchy, though whether it deserves its own segment, I'm not so sure!

Katamari has four games across two consoles and a portable, a massive cult following, unique and vastly ecclectic music for each game, and has reached a level of infamy in the gaming community. It also has one of the catchiest ear-worm refrains in the main themes out of any gaming franchise ever.

Halo has three games, all of which can be played on a 360... and potentially has two segments.

Kingdom Hearts has three games, two console bound and one portable.

God of War is much the same.

There are only two Starcraft games.

Tron has three games - two cabinet, one download and play... all are based on the film.

Seems logical to me, and it's not just because I'm a Katamari fanboy.

That'd be pretty sweet if they had a katamari segment, but I dunno how they'd play it...there's a certain feel to it with the synth sounds they use to make the music for the games in the most part...the katamari theme they can get away with for traditional instruments, but the the rest is hard out play by whole orchestra...maybe a single or jsut a few instruments in a group, but that's just my opinion.

Just popping in to add another "yay" to adding Katamari Damacy[i] music. That would make for an interesting interactive part of the concert too, actually - kind of like with [i]Frogger, except whoever rolls the biggest Katamari gets a prize.

And Chocobos? Can't go wrong with Chocobos! Might as well include perhaps a Moogle or Cactuar dashing across the stage too. Both "wark" and "kweh" work, so like many have already said, I'd say both. (They could "wark" and "kweh" part of the song together.)
