i'm wondering what the rules and regulations are for VGL such as restrictions on certain types of cameras still and video before, during, and after the preformance.

From what I understand you can bring them as long as the venue allowes it and it's not a professional quality camera a.k.a an SLR.

It's so vague because while VGL doesn't mind still and even video cameras, the venue may have its onw restrictions.

VGL doesn't mind, in fact they kind of encourage it - a bit of viral marketing never hurt no one.

The people at the venue might have something to say if you went in with a chunky DV camcorder or a professional camera, but I assume you're just talking about a small personal device like a phone, or less expensive/professional digital camera.

yes, thats exactly what i mean, i don't plan on taking a huge video cam.

but rather a small one I.E: a sony cyber shot, or any camera which has a video recording function on it.

i have another question though, i'm going to VGL this weekend for the show in New Haven CT. would anyone happen to know if Video-Topia is going to be there, i'm bringing my parents and i'm hoping to enlighten them on the importance of video games and gaming by the way is anyone else going to the New Haven show?
