Hello everybody, I was wondering if the e-mail I sent to the Video Games Live team has been read. So, to make sure, I'll just post it here and I'll change details at the end of it, because it's an old e-mail from February 9, 2008. Here goes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear creators of Video Games Live,
I would like to thank you for bringing this fabulous concert in Montréal, Québec ! I went to the show yesterday (8th of february 2008) and it was amazing ! The orchestra was really good, the contests on stage and Tommy Tallarico were entertaining and funny, and the videos shown during the show were well-done. Also, Martin Leung's performance was INCREDIBLE ! Great choice of music and everybody was talented ! The Metal Gear Solid music was impressive and the soldier searching for Snake in the audience was very funny (I'd never thought the exclamation mark could be shown in real life !) The merchandise's prices were reasonable (and that's why I bought myself a Zelda T-Shirt) and the duration of the show was perfect; and having One-Winged Angel played at the end of the show is really appropriate because I think it's the best orchestral song in the best Final Fantasy series' game.
However, I felt really disappointed that Square Enix would not let you use videos of their games. I know it is not your fault, but it would be great that they change their mind someday because they are my favorite video game company and I think it would be only benefic to them (and you) if they let you play videos of their games during your concerts. Also, there was music for only one Super Mario game missing that I noticed but it is surely related to the same point that disappointed me previously because Super Mario RPG was made by Squaresoft. I think it's the best Super Mario game and also the best game released on Super Nintendo. Those two points are the only negative (but minor) things I found in the show and I hope you can get an agreement with them (and I'll do my part as a fan by writting to them and asking them to let you use Final Fantasy videos).
Finally, I have really liked the show and I know without a doupt that I'll attend the show next year if you come back to Montréal ! Here is a quick listing of music that I found interesting that you could play someday :
Final Fantasy V
Battle on the Big Bridge (Remix by The Black Mages)
Final Fantasy VII
Fighting
Still More Fighting
Electric Chocobo
J-E-N-O-V-A
Those Chosen by the Planet
Final Fantasy VII : Crisis Core
The best ones after it comes out !
Final Fantasy VIII
Find Your Way
Force Your Way
The Landing
Drifting
Final Fantasy IX
Hunter's chance (Remix by The Black Mages)
Dark Messenger
Final Fantasy X
Normal Battle
Suteki Da Ne
Final Fantasy XII
Opening Movie (Theme of FINAL FANTASY XII)
Legend of Dragoon
Battle theme or other
Locoroco
Any yellow locoroco song (if possible)
Super Mario RPG : Legend of the Seven Stars
Beware the forest's mushrooms !
Thank you for this wonderful experience that you brought to us and continue with the good work !
Best regards,
Alexandre Martel

Wow, if you continue reading, you are a brave one. Here are the necessary changes:
NEWS1: I've written the very next day after this e-mail was sent. I'll spare you the e-mail, but I sent it to an e-mail address found on their Northern America Website, and they told me that they do not have the necessary tools to forward the e-mail the the responsible department. I felt they were really unorganized to not have access to their own company's departements...
NEWS2: I saw Montréal in TBA Tour Dates :) THANK YOU !!! I'll come back for sure.
EDIT1: Now that FF7: Crisis Core is released in North America, I know the songs I'd like to here in a Video Games Live concert next year :) Here they are:
Final Fantasy VII : Crisis Core
Theme of CRISIS CORE ''Truth Behind the Project''
The World's Enemy (from FFVII ''One-Winged Angel'')
The Price of Freedom
The Burdened
The Summoned (from FFVII ''Those Who Fight Further'')
Fulfilled Desire
(Explication of Crisis Core songs choice)
I didn't like Advent Children's remix of One-Winged Angel, but Crisis Core's is really good. The truth Behind the Project song really describes the climax of the game I think and the Price of Freedom, well, there is no better song for a tragedy. I usually do not like the credits song, but the Crisis Core one is really a good orchestral ending that includes songs from the original Final Fantasy VII.
FINALLY, feel free to comment, or response (especially VGL team!) and have a nice day !
PS: This is my first thread in my first forum, I hope it's okay !
Second PS: While a year as passed since my first e-mail, my English stayed at the same level, please be comprehensive :)
