Final Fantasy XIV 2.0

First off I would like to hear what you guys/gals think of the soon to be released FF XIV A Realm Reborn and I don't to hear or see play wow its a way better game ect ect and also does any one know if you need the first FFXIV to play it due do it being a Expansion pack or is it a whole new game cause I really want to play FFXIV but don't want to buy the first one and find out that FFXIV is the same but beefed up? Thanks..

You have a spare period left over at the end there; I think your first sentence might have dropped it.

Also I'm pretty sure 2.0 is a full-on reboot and replacement rather than an expansion. New engine, new server architecture, new maps etc., so I don't think you'd need 1.x already or have to buy it separately. I dunno though. MMOs bore the hell out of me.
