It's anywhere from 2-2.5 hours long.

Or is it 1.5-2 hours? *goes to check*

Needless to say, the average is 2 hours long. But if you want to include preshow and post-show events, then the "concert" can last to about 5 hours long.

EDIT: The show is about 2.5 hours long (which includes a 20 minute intermission in the middle).

Yeah, typically there is about 2 hours of music, with a 20 minute intermission. 2 hours roughly equals 20 6 minute segments, so you do get quite a lot in the concert.

As terraguy also said, typically you'll have about 2 hours of pre-show (although this does vary between venues, something to check before you go if you plan on getting there as soon as the doors open), in which there are usually examples of new and upcoming game releases of big franchises (GH:WT was one we had recently) plus other big games on various consoles, as well as the preshow Guitar Hero tournament, the winner of which will perform on stage to try and win a big gamer's goody bag. Post-show festivities may include some leftovers from pre-show, but usually the big attraction is the meet and greet with Tommy and Jack and a variety of industry professionals. This will last as long as the queue will wait and so you wil have people waiting for several hours after the show (assuming the venue doesn't kick everyone out which has happened in the past...), although this is by no means compulsory and you're welcome to skip it if you wish.

If you've any specific questions about the date you're planning to attend, let us know and we'll do our best to answer the specifics, such as meet and greet attendees and when best to arrive at the venue.

The vegas one ran long. I wanted to do the meet and greet but my fianceé was basically tired after it was all done.

I'd clock it at about 2.5 Hours =)

I suggest holding off the urge to put the CD in on the way to the show. I'd use it as a way to keep the show going on the drive back. Don't want to spoil anything right?
