Default At The Escapist

How many of the forumites here have watch Zero Punctuation at The Escapist? I'm betting a fair number of you have. But how many have watch any of the other videos on the site? I'm talking about one in particular...There Will Be Brawl. I recommend you all go watch it (presuming you don't mind a VERY dark take on the Nintendo franchises) and especially pay attention to Episode 3...you should recognize a good friend of VGL...

I recall seeing Zero Punctuation when X-Play had it on their show every now and then, but they've stopped doing that for some time. I think I might have seen the one about Brawl, but I don't think I have seen Episode 3 - I'm not sure.

I've been watching ZP for ages, but then I was following Yahtzee back when he was making freeware adventure games and drawing bad comics (or so he says, I quite enjoyed them!)

Just started watching There Will Be Brawl, and although some elements are somewhat mature in nature (I'd probably stick a 17+ warning stick on it, just in case), I've actually seen most of these characters before, in a story done by Geekologie about the guy who actually did the costume elements. Didn't realise it was for this though! You can see pictures of it all here.

I thought so too, but since The Escapist hadn't restricted it, I figured just state that it's very dark and let it go. So do you know who I'm talking about, Myrph, or are you not up to Episode 3 yet?

I'm not up to Episode 3 yet, but I think I've worked it out from that photo set. I won't reveal who it is though, so everyone else can find out for themselves!

Yup, I watch Zero Punctuation, but I rarely venture out into the vast expanses of The Escapist. Mostly 'cause I have so mu-- little time on my hands.

Just taken a look at the TWBB website and they've got a warning on all of their pages "Warning: Not intended for viewers under the age of 17". Maybe The Escapist assume that their viewers are mostly over the age of 17 anyway, seems strange though...

Good point, Myrph. I'd forgotten that the TTWB site had that restriction. I guess The Escapist made the same mistake that the company that bought out EGM's suscriptions did (namely, not everyone who gets your magazine is above a certain age).

Hang on, it says "intended", which doesn't completely prevent under 17s from watching. Ha ha ha, no clumsily written disclaimers can stop me!

Actually, although its not intended for under 17s, they aren't liable for anything if any foolish under 17 watches it and becomes mentally scarred as a result, so actually its quite cleverly worded! I doubt it'll have that effect on you though, Leontendo, I think you crossed that line ages ago!
