I'm sure you'll be appreciated, Terraguy! I might even reference this in the FAQs, if I can figure out a relevant question to which this would be the answer!

I think that's more than a couple there Terraguy! Really, I didn't mean for you guys to actually type the interview; well it was mainly a big summary, but you know what I mean. The interview as well as the summary should be placed in another featured area besides the forums.

Am I forgetting something? ...hmmmmmmmmmm... oh, right.

THANK YOU TERRAGUY!!!!

Oh, ok. I'll get that fixed.

And Myrph, I think an acceptable question would be about which segments would be coming to VGL in the near future.

And I'm sorry if my comment at the very beginning of my post came off needy.

The Super Smash Bros. segment should have the Melee Menu 1 theme, Melee Flat Zone theme, and Melee Final Destination theme (unless it's all going to be Brawl music, which would be a shame).

OOT definitely has a great soundtrack, but Majora's Mask has some great atmospheric music. A little weird at times, yes, but very moody...

-More special effects, 2 went to 3 screens now, new tech (HD cameras), more orchestra performance videos on side screen with new camera(!!!!!!!)
-Note about the VGL forums, asks for suggestions for music (Any shout out? )
Also, less backing tracks and more live orchestra. (Please don't say it's a matter of stage size, because there was a lot of unused space at the show I went to in Winnipeg, and would have been even more if some of the speakers had been removed.)

Star Fox and Kirby segments maybe?

I guess that's why the show felt like a rock concert to me. I like proper orchestral performances. I went to a performance of Looney Tunes music, with a full orchestra, no special effects, and I loved it.

Question for Tommy: You've gone on record as also loving GoldenEye's spiritual sequel Perfect Dark, so I must ask, will you be picking up the Xbox Live Arcade port with enhanced 1080p visuals, online play, and greatly improved frame rate?

Just read this topic and wanted to pop in and say thanks to those that listened to the podcast. I'm DarkWish from WiiNintendo and that was an episode of our Nintendo Fuse Podcast that I started up for the site. I have been to Video Games Live twice and I think it's absolutely incredible so I just had to get Tommy Tallarico on the podcast. I had a total blast doing the podcast. Tommy is such a cool guy.

I had planned on doing the podcast for maybe 60 to 90 minutes, but Tommy just kept saying more and more great stuff so we couldn't stop. I think it's definitely worth a listen to hear all of his thoughts on VGL, especially the announcement of the PBS TV special next year. Oh, and sorry for the intro! I wanted to play the opening of the Castlevania song from the Video Games Live CD, but it turned out pretty bad. Whatever, the next 2+ hours make up for it lol. Tommy also said he would love to come back on the podcast so maybe sometime next year I can get him back on and we can discuss how everything is going.

The other Video Games Live-related thing I did for WiiNintendo was post my recordings of the 100th Video Games Live show in Richmond, VA earlier this year. They're pretty good quality (I did record them with a $150 digital voice recorder after all) aside from the crowd cheering. I was sitting in the very top and back, but the audio recordings came out quite good I think. Those can be downloaded here.

Anyways, thanks everyone for listening. I'm off to play my Nintendo DSi, which by the way I got signed by Tommy Tallarico, Jack Wall, and Martin Leung and it says "VGL 100th Show!".

Thanks, Terraguy (even though I don't have much use for it )

I also remember being shocked at Tommy Tallarico finding Carnival: Funfair Games fun! That's the first time I've heard of someone actually liking it!

Oh, and since when could the Xbox 360 do 1080p? I thought it was 720p but upscaled.

The 360 can do up to 1080p through component, VGA or HDMI.

You're getting mixed up between that and the native resolution of games, which tends to be 720p or lower on both the 360 and PS3. As the lead platform in most cross-platform games, the 360 usually has the edge on native resolution if there's an edge to be had at all, but most of the time it's pretty much indistinguishable.

Fun facts.
