I'm sure anyone who pays attention on the internet has already discovered this game, but for everyone who hasn't, let me introduce to you the best game that never came out on the NES.
Super Mario Bros. Crossover Basically its the entire Super Mario Bros. from the NES, however you have the option of playing through each level with any of the following characters: Mario (obviously), Link, Bill R., Simon, Mega Man and Samus. Each one plays as they would in their original games, so Link uses his sword and Mega Man uses the Mega Blaster, but by collecting mushrooms and fire flowers you can upgrade the attacks of the character you're using, just as you would with Mario. I'm not sure how else I can sell this, so I recommend just going and playing the game itself. Currently my favourite character to play as is probably Mega Man, but certain levels seem to be easier with certain characters, for example Bill R. can aim his gun, which proves really useful in stage 4-1 against Lakitu, especially when you have him upgraded with a fire flower and have a 3-way scatter shot! There are still a few bugs in the game, some minor, some not so, but its definitely playable and I think it would be difficult for anyone to not instantly fall in love with this game!!

Playing 1-2 at the sound of Bloody Tears is just bliss.

That sounds like a pretty boss concept. I'd like to see what Link could do in a side-scrolling adventure (at least, that's what I think it is). Me thinks I'll play it now!
