TOMMY TALLARICO AND JACK WALL TO VISIT FLASHPOINT ACADEMY
Video Games Live Creators to visit Flashpoint on November 14th at 1:30 p.m.
along with Halo composer Mike Salvatori
CHICAGO – World famous video game composers and creators of Video Games Live ™ (VGL), Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall will visit Flashpoint Academy on Friday, November 14th at 1:30 p.m. to speak to Flashpoint students and video game enthusiasts alike. Halo series composer, Michael Salvatori, will also be in attendance for the presentation and speaking about his work in the industry. This special event is free and open to the public, however, due to limited seating, advance reservations are required. To RSVP, contact Hanna at 312-506-0637 no later than November 12th.

Video game composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall created Video Games Live in 2002. The duo will offer a special presentation and discussion at Flashpoint Academy prior to the internationally renowned VGL event on Saturday, November 15th. The luminaries will discuss being video game composers and the insiders’ view of the video game industry. Between the two, they have worked on such titles as Earthworm Jim, Metroid Prime, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Mass Effect and Myst to name a few.
Flashpoint Academy, a digital media arts college located in Chicago’s Loop, was just named a recipient of the prestigious Chicago Innovation Award. Flashpoint Academy opened its doors in 2007 and is the first college of its kind in Chicago. Students can pursue two-year, full time, direct-to-industry programs in Game Development, Visual Effects and Animation, Film, Recording Arts, and their newest discipline, Broadcast Media.
Video Games Live, the largest and most popular game concert in the world, is an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time. Top orchestras & choirs perform along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive entertainment experience.
With sold-out national and international concerts, Video Games Live comes to Chicago on Saturday, November 15th at 8 p.m. and will be held at the Chicago Theatre, located at 175 North State Street.
