New Video Games Live Portuguese Website Launches In Support of Upcoming Performance
Los Angeles, CA - Due to an overwhelming outpour of interest and support, Video Games Live has announced a new location and date for the 2006-2007 world tour currently in progress. On Sunday, November 12th at the prestigious Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil the highly regarded Petrobras Sinfônica will perform in front of thousands of eager Brazilians whose tireless support and goodwill has sparked the addition of yet another groundbreaking South American performance.
The show is being promoted by Visom Digital who has joined forces with UOL, the biggest internet online provider in all of Latin America. Presenting the show will be industry leading oil company Petrobras whose goal it is to usher in a whole new generation of people to appreciate the artistic and cultural merits of a live symphonic performance in a setting that speaks volumes to people who may not normally come out to experience a live orchestra. Intel, the world's largest semiconductor company will also be on board once again to support the highly acclaimed South American landmark event. Also adding to the already powerful line-up is the government operated Ministry of Culture whose dedication to the Video Games Live project speaks volumes about VGL's importance now and moving ahead into the future.
"It is such an honor to be invited to perform by the government of Brazil and many of its leading corporations," said VGL Co-Creator and Host Tommy Tallarico. "This is only the beginning of something special which we intend on building and bringing back to Brazil each and every season." Co-Creator and Conductor Jack Wall added, "I've already started working with the orchestras and I'm really amazed at how proud they are and how hard they are willing to work to ensure our show is the best it can be."
Aside from all of the usual synchronized state-of-the-art lighting, special fx, interactive segments on stage, prize give-a-ways, pre/post show festival activities and fully synchronized video, there will also be a special interactive laser show production to accompany some of the show segments.
